  Optimal conditions for clinical activities

Our Clinical Pharmacology Unit is located in the centre of Erfurt, the capital of Thuringia. There are 60 beds available in modern and functionally equipped wards, the use of which can be varied according to study requirements. Study volunteers and personnel are close at hand but the unit is also easily accessible to our customers. Head of the clinical ward is Dr. Frank Donath, a clinical pharmacologist with many years of experience. Be invited for a tour through our Clinical Pharmacology Unit. The marked spots on the map below open the view into our facilities.

50 highly qualified employees, including seven clinicians from various fields of medicine such as internal medicine, anaesthesiology, intensive-care, and clinical pharmacology work in our unit. Their long experience in carrying out Phase I and II clinical trials is a guarantee that the course of a project will run smoothly and according to schedule.

Close cooperation with the departments in the University Hospital in Jena and the City Hospital in Erfurt, as well as a network of physicians in general practice, ensures the rapid recruitment of study volunteers, even when investigating specially selected populations. In this way the advantages of a classical CRO are combined with those of a SMO.
